Vitiligo responds rapidly to Excimer laser/light. The face (eyelids, cheeks, chin) do particularly well on treatment.

It is possible to even treat the vermillion of the lips althought this area takes longer than other parts of the face to resond.

treatment may be combined with topical medication, eg Vitix and Viticolor, Protopic and topical steroids. Needling may be used as an additional treatment.

 

Areas that do poorly on any treatment, including excimer include the hands and feet.
