Microneedling with the InnoPen was demonstrated at the World Congress of Dermatology in Canada recently (July 2015). We wasted no time in getting this for our patients as we could see its potential benefits for our diverse range of patients. Its main uses are for acne scars, stretch marks, lines and wrinkles, rings around the eyes and pigmentation. The InnoPen has a number of fine needles which penetrate the skin at high speed. EMLA cream (a local anaesthetic cream) is applied for an hour beforehand. The real power of the InnoPen comes with the vast range of serums which are available, each for a different indication. Microneedlling is in fact a technique which allows for medication to penetrate deep into the skin, right where it needs to work. During your visit, remember to ask if microneedling with the InnoPen is something that is likely to work for you.
